Post [2.1.1.0] GZDoom Visual Mode not setting texture offests properly

When using the GZDoom Visual Mode and changing the offsets of a texture, the offset is only recorded as being set to 1 or -1. No other offset is displayed despite where the texture is moved.

The true offset is therefore unknown and I know I'm changing the offset to something other than 1 or -1. This makes manually aligning textures using visual mode very difficult. It helps to know what the actual offset is when aligning textures, even if what I see "looks right." And abusing autoalign is not really an option.

That had been reported already viewtopic.php?f=8&t=453

So, you are using GZDoom in Hexen format.
There are two remedies:

1.
If you are dead set on using the GZDoom Visual Mode to align textures, then you can use r1416.

2.
If you are dead set on using a later version, eg from r1429 on, then you must use the UDMF
format for GZDoom Visual Mode to work correctly. In the latest version r1486 you also have the
bonus of floor and ceiling alignment options.

However, if you are still dead set on using GZDoom in Hexen format, then there is also the regular
Visual Mode which works for aligning textures.

Let me add that there's basically no reason not to use UDMF when you're mapping for the ZDooms anyway.

Just rechecked this and tried it in the UDMF 3D mode, I still get the same problems, both in ZDoom and GZDoom UDMF formats.

I know I shouldn't bump threads, but the way as it acts in UDMF format makes it unusable. It has the same issue as it does in Hexen format. I'm using r1554.
